F.E.A.R. ile 2005 yılında tanışmıştık. Çıkmadan önce yayımlanan videolarla görsellik anlamında şov yapan oyun, piyasaya sürülmesiyle de FPS türüne önemli katkılarda bulunmuştu. Herhalde bunlardan en önemlisi de, çok iyi tasarlanan düşman yapay zekasıydı. Zaten korkutucu yapısıyla oyuncuları diken üstünde tutmayı becerebiliyor, bir de bu özelliği etrafınızı her yandan saran düşman faktörüyle birleşince, hiç rahat nefes almanıza izin vermiyordu.
